In the early 1970s Antonio purchased a cherry red puffer coat from Paragron Sports, the iconic downtown athletic store at 867 Broadway. Over the next decade, the voluminous jacket in his signature color became a costume, a prop, and a backdrop in hundreds of photographs taken in Paris and New York.
